Description
To assist and encourage incarcerated individuals who have obtained a secondary school diploma or its recognized equivalent to acquire educational and job skills through coursework in order to prepare such individuals to pursue a postsecondary education certificate, an associate�s degree, or bachelor�s degree while in prison; and to provide them with employment counseling and other related services.

Eligible Applicants
State correctional education agencies, as designated by the Governor of any of the 50 States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, District of Columbia, Guam, American Samoa, the Virgin Islands, and the Northern Mariana Islands, may apply.
