Description
The Office of Research Integrity (ORI) announces the anticipated availability of funds for Fiscal Year (FY) 2016 for competitive grants under the authority of Sec. 301 of the Public Health Service Act, 42 U.S.C. 241, as delegated to the Director of ORI and the Public Health Service Policies on Research Misconduct Final Rule, 42 CFR Part 93. This notice solicits applications for competing grant awards to fund Phase II of two phases of exploratory developmental research projects designed to foster greater understanding about preventing research misconduct and promoting research integrity. Phase II eligibility is limited to successful Phase I awardees. Funding is based on success demonstrated in Phase I, the merit and feasibility of the Phase II proposal, and the availability of funds. The purpose of this FOA is to foster innovative approaches to empirical research on societal, organizational, group, and individual factors that affect, both positively and negatively, integrity in research.
