Description

The Office of Research Integrity (ORI) announces the anticipated availability of funds for Fiscal Year (FY) 2016 for competitive grants under the authority of Sec. 301 of the Public Health Service Act, 42 U.S.C. 241, as delegated to the Director of ORI and the Public Health Service Policies on Research Misconduct Final Rule, 42 CFR Part 93. This notice solicits applications for competing grant awards to fund Phase I of two phases of exploratory developmental research projects designed to foster greater understanding about preventing research misconduct and promoting research integrity. The objective for Phase I awards is to establish project merit and feasibility and generate preliminary data for Phase II proposals (two-year awards; up to $125,000 direct cost per year). The purpose of this FOA is to foster innovative approaches to empirical research on societal, organizational, group, and individual factors that affect, both positively and negatively, integrity in research.
