The AHSC Program provides grants and loans to eligible Applicants to benefit Disadvantaged Communities, Low-Income Communities, and Low-Income Households throughout California through increasing accessibility of affordable housing, employment centers, and Key Destinations via low-carbon transportation. These investments result in fewer vehicle miles traveled (VMT) through shortened or reduced vehicle trip length or mode shift from single occupancy vehicle use to transit, bicycling, or walking. Eligible Projects must fall into one of the following three eligible Project Area Types: 1. Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Project Areas2. Integrated Connectivity Project (ICP) Areas3.
