Description

The overall goal of this program is to support research to improve federal, state, local, and tribal public health preparedness and response capabilities. Recipients use a multidisciplinary public health systems research approach to examine the structure, capabilities, and performance of public health systems preparing for and responding to any and all potential threats and hazards. Research addresses one of the four research priority recommendations identified in an Institute of Medicine (IOM) Letter Report to yield results that achieve near-term impact on public health preparedness and response systems.
