Description

The Statistics Program supports research in statistical theory and methods, including research in statistical methods for applications to any domain of science and engineering. The theory forms the base for statistical science. The methods are used for stochastic modeling, and the collection, analysis and interpretation of data. The methods characterize uncertainty in the data and facilitate advancement in science and engineering. The Program encourages proposals ranging from single-investigator projects to interdisciplinary team projects.

Eligible Applicants

� Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments) � Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education � Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education � Private institutions of higher education � Public and State controlled institutions of higher education � For profit organizations other than small businesses � Other Other: Applicants must possess experience in providing training and technical assistance on a national level to state, local, and tribal law enforcement officials, intelligence analysts, prosecutors, judges, staff who work in fusion centers, and other criminal justice entities who work with missing person programs. In addition, applicants are required to have the capacity to deliver training and technical assistance nationally to include remote locations and underserved communities throughout the United States and its territories, as needed
